Located in a building that blends history and modernity, the Musée Français de la Carte à Jouer celebrates a timeless art form and its role in our society. The architectural intervention has enhanced the museum's spaces, notably through the addition of a sleek glass extension that harmonizes with the emblematic Conti pavilion. This interplay of transparency and materials reinforces the site's identity, while streamlining circulation for improved accessibility and an enriched experience.

An immersive, playful scenography
Conceived as an initiatory journey, the scenography plunges visitors into the world of playing cards, through spaces that alternate between intimate ambience and interactive features. Each room explores a different theme: the history of cards, their handcrafted manufacture and their artistic and cultural uses. Modular showcases and immersive features, such as participatory workshops and thematic re-enactments, offer playful, educational interaction.

A dialogue with the public
The project also emphasized sustainability: reusable materials, modular systems and integrated landscaping bear witness to a strong ecological concern. The museum thus becomes a space for encounters and transmission, where past and present intertwine, creating an enriching experience for all visitors.
