Housing units in Nuits-Saint-Georges
As an echo of the existing urban discontinuity, the insertion of buildings, characterised by parcelling and porousness, is typified by gaps and raised areas, maintaining perspectives on the hills, as well as cross-ways views between the public space and the interior of the site, between the car parks and the landscaped areas.
These dynamic visual perspectives (seen from above, from below, from the side) maintain the element of surprise and discovery as one moves from place to place. Our commitment to a landscaping approach is a reference to the winemaking territory, one of the characteristic aspects of which is the density of the green space. Arranged in counter-relief in the park to give definition to the glades and a water garden, the green spaces capture part of the runoff waters of the site. Lastly, the raised buildings are an advantage for the car parks, which benefit from a relation with the exterior and from a source of natural light.
