A long video panel is displayed on the periphery of the visit. It is composed of numerous competition images (still and animated) from different periods. All the sources are on the same scale in order to create a feeling of continuity. A dark, reflective wall faces the large, luminous panel, which seems to duplicate itself. The visitor is thus plunged into the heart of this installation. A visit to the exhibition becomes a multi-sensory experience. This rigid membrane, which can be crossed at different points, contains alcoves. These pockets with their soft muffled atmosphere present the ‘behind the scenes’ and analyze the methods in how the making of the images was produced from one Olympic Game to another. A great sense of freedom characterises the composition of these interior spaces; their curved and welcoming forms encouraging a certain intimacy with the presented content and the interactive displays.
