Energies
Today, tower architecture is a field of experimentation in the field of energy in its own right: sensor membranes, solar panels, fluid controls, light diffraction, the firefly effect, monumental lighting for the city, etc. Towers are real supports for experiments in energy capture and diffusion. The project we proposed for the ‘Energy’ exhibition space borrows the poetic, technical and signage dimension of the ‘tower’ shape and the immediate and distant landscape generated by the presence of this contemporary architecture. The large cylinder is seen as an energy experiment on a city-wide scale. Its walls are thick. They contain a density of information visible from the inside or outside. These thicknesses also integrate the energy sources (technical rooms) of all the exhibition spaces. The heart of the cylinder is occupied by interactive game tables. The inner membrane of the cylinder is a fully reactive and interactive skin, presenting all the complexity and beauty of the idea of energy. The different images create the enigma, the spectacle and the emotion.
