Exhibition gallery for Magnum photos agency
We decide to "open the volume to the world" by positioning as an interface a space with possible programming. In this place, a whole series of events marked by current events can take place, like the front page of a daily newspaper: exhibitions, conferences, educational activities, debates, meetings, openings, etc.
We propose to place the café, the bookshop and the administration in the back room, space where the architecture of the ceiling imposes itself as a valid identity of the place. In the basement, we propose to offer perfect conditions for exhibitions: a unique and vast modular stage for temporary exhibitions, with high ceiling height. And finally, we optimize the functionality of the space by inscribing a strip of service spaces along with one of the party walls. As Raymond Depardon says, "this place will be a window on the world".
