CPC studio
This extension, which houses an artist's studio, is located at the end of the plot. The implementation of the project is the result of the synthesis of numerous technical and administrative constraints: the state of the ground and the respect of urban rules (limited ground area, setback imposed about the existing building and regulations linked to the size). Thus, the volume obtained is the maximum possible built volume that can.
It is a wooden monolith whose facade refers to an old wash house located 100m away, where the artist is currently working. So the new place can find the trace of an architecture that is familiar to it.
The generous openings in the façade refer to the dimensions of the artist's canvases (usually 2m x 3m). The ground floor is a studio. A terrace extends its outdoor activity in summer. The first floor is a painting studio; the volume fit to the supports. Finally, the top floor offers a more intimate space dedicated to the activity of drawing.
