Cattle Raisers Museum
The space is divided up according to a territorial logic.
Centred on a herd of cattle.
Four peripheral and autonomous walls define the exhibition’s timeline. They present the history of agriculture in Texas chronologically, integrating graphics, object niches, screens, soundtracks and visual openings onto the central space. At the same time, the chronology is accompanied by a series of peripheral galleries presenting thematic sequences. In the centre, a monumental installation constitutes the highlight of the exhibition. It consists of a herd of cows surrounded by variously raised floor levels with screens and seating, large peripheral projections and comprehensive sound effects evoking the world of ranches. The exhibition ends with a gallery of cow portraits: a surprising element where the paintings come to life and converse as soon as you approach them.
