Housing of the ZAC ‘du bon lait’
Concerned about the environment in which this project is located, we have sought to integrate the specific character of this site as a major component of our architectural design.
Housing and small industrial buildings, sometimes low, sometimes high, generate a sustained rhythm and diversity. The urban fabric is heterogeneous and that is what makes it so unique. The corner location of the plot is a great opportunity for the project. The immediate environment is characterized by a discontinuous urban fabric made up of small scales and residential buildings on R+5 and R+8. This heterogeneity of sizes finally generates a rather particular situation in terms of urban continuity to be ensured. It is therefore first of all this singularity that inspires our proposal. Our project must integrate this necessary transition between the existing and future developments, particularly along Félix Brun Street. Arriving from the south, the constructions on lot A4E will in a way mark one of the entrances to the ZAC du Bon Lait and will provide a link with the existing constructions on the site.
