Writing has an intimate dimension as well as an evocative power that does not weaken over time. Writing is no ordinary gesture. Despite the growth of new technologies and the dematerialisation of data, there is continuing attachment to the object of writing, which helps us leave a trace.
Given this fact, how could we fail to feel inspired by the Montblanc brand? Its history is marked by daring, innovation and skill. It is still being written with the same elegance today. The ideas of the company’s three founders have successfully borne fruit. It is striking how their vision has continued to mark spirits all over the world since 1906.
For us it was essential to give spatial expression to this excellence, by developing a design approach that is perfectly coherent with the brand’s outlook. The design will be a part of the overall experience of the visit, as well as providing support and access to different categories of visitors. The objects and themes on display will be seen in a dynamic and intelligible way.
Our design proposal for the Montblanc Haus follows on from the project undertaken by Nieto-Sobejano Arquitectos. The architectural essence of the spaces has been preserved. The indoor atmospheres pursue the choice of light-coloured materials, while introducing a contrasting element at the centre of each room.
