The exceptional environment of the Stud Farm forms a rich heritage unique to this site. As we view it, the main challenges of the conversion of the stable concern the difficulty of identifying the museum on this site of high heritage value, the pooling of visitor management within the reception pavilion, the optimal flexibility of the scenographic arrangements in order to interlock the temporary exhibition and the visit of the permanent collections. Faced with these challenges, the main notion addressed is that of limits. The porosity between the museum and the Stud Farm imposes an evolution of the entrance sequence. The extension is a longitudinal and relatively transparent volume. It connects the two existing structures, the reception building and the former stable. The temporary exhibition spaces are at the heart of the permanent exhibition in the former stable, modifying the limitations of programming cyclically.
