Rio the exhibition
The staging of the main space borrows the image of a dense forest where the different sequences of the exhibition are nestled in cavities, inside pockets of light. The visitor glides along the soft, curved walls, made up of alignments of suspended ropes. Depth of vision is achieved through small gaps.
The images, blurred from afar, are shown to the visitor once they cross the partitions. The overall space is surrounded by a wall of moving images that project their coloured light onto the vertical, twisted lines of the rope. Thus, the different sequences of the exhibition - the forest, celebration, the beach, the city and football - each have their own light and sound atmosphere that partially blend into the central area with its small gaps.
To reinforce the common dimension of this space, a particular sound element will be created, subtly intertwining the five specific atmospheres. In the gallery, clusters of ropes dyed in the colours of the Rio games form sugar loaves suspended upside down, delineating the thematic spaces.
