Sensory Odyssey
Sensory Odyssey reinvents the scientific exhibition by creating the Spectacle Expedition, a life-size sensory journey through the heart of our planet's ecosystems. Designed for a free public's wandering through several natural environments, the immersive and interactive installation combines projections in very high definition of impressively realistic content with a set of visual, sound and olfactory effects for an intense and complete experience.
Experience the richness of the living world in an immersive, interactive and multi-sensory space.
The scenographic design was thought to be itinerant and realised in co-production with the National Museum of Natural History in Paris. The principle of the pieces is an assembly modelled differently according to the configuration of the exhibition spaces. It provides the visitor with perceptions as close as possible to the species by provoking, via our senses, intense sensations of empathy and reconnection with Nature.
This novel concept allows visitors to experience animal and plant species' prowess in a 360° interactive space. Responding to a growing public craze for immersive devices, Sensory Odyssey stands out for its pioneering and plural approach, at the crossroads of life sciences, performing arts and technological innovation.
The history of "Sensory Odyssey", which we have been running for several years, is driven by our desire to live a global immersive artistic experience with meaning. The new sensations that we aspire to have come about because we have created opportunities to existing. We have surrounded ourselves with people driven by the same deep desire to do well, with values and dreams. The story of "Sensory Odyssey" is above all a human adventure.
The visitors reconnect progressively with the materiality of the world. The Post-show allows to decrypt the phenomena perceived during the experience.
The scenographic breath lies in the clarity and speed with which the visitor is seized, in an emotional and sensitive immediacy through a rich inner landscape. We wanted the visitor to be held by an impression even before discovering the routes' narrative nuances.
We designed diverse scenographic landscapes in close relationship with the other designers of this adventure.
We imagine this succession of spaces in resonance with the diversity of Nature and the environments encountered. The sequences are fluid and sensual. They are open, deep, enveloping, carnal, comfortable and welcoming landscapes; spaces for humans.
This show's overall structure, like a living organism, reinvents its form according to each venue. Thanks to the different scenographic components at our disposal, these pieces' assembly offers unique journeys through this imaginary world.
